每個席位的檯燈、插座及USB埠，是整合數位輸出/輸入控制器，透過預約簽到資訊來控管插座與檯燈的電力供應。
如此可增加閱讀照明效用，並避免天花板燈光過度浪費，可節省照明如下表試算節能率達69%。
自習室於106年8月18日現場工程完工後即試營運，總工程於9月22日驗收，於10月2日正式啟用，並舉辦推廣活動讓本校師生瞭解此一創新服務，提供更安全、更智慧化及節能減碳的自習室空間使用服務。(自習室預約使用至10月30日止，計有18,711人次，APP至10月30日止共566人下載利用。)
