中興大學校園內禁止機車通行，在校園周邊盡可能建設機車停車區，這些資訊需要更容易被查詢，好讓以機車為交通工具的學生或訪客可以將機車停在接近欲前往單位的停車區。
所以，計資中心專案小組決定要將中興大學校園周邊所有機車停車區及動線在Google我的地圖做完整的繪製(任何單位或個人若有需要就請自行於該圖下載KML開放資料)。當然，不只是將校園地圖繪製出來直接呈現在APP就好，我們還會做出更方便的導引功能，敬請期待。
以往有學生會將機車違規停放在校園周邊人行道，影響行人路權且遭到警察開單取締，所以駐警隊曾經發布公告提醒並提供機車停放參考位置圖(圖檔)，但因為僅有圖檔而無法引用，為了做出理想的導引功能才繪製前述地圖。
